I would, first of all, like to apologize from my long absence from this blog. Contrary to what you may think, my lack of posting was not attributed to laziness but rather to an extreme disgust with recent events in our Congress... This, ofcourse, has led me to drink myself to sleep almost every night, and, in turn, has made me too hungover every morning to give a rat's ass about informing you people of what the fuck is going on...
Now that I have managed to get out of my funk, let's continue on with this sorry excuse of a blog!
As you hopefully were informed by the above video, a 300 billion dollar Housing Bill was introduced in Congress recently. And if you had no idea about it before reading this, don't get your hopes up... the House of Representin' and the Senate both passed the bill already. The only thing needed now is Bush's John Hancock (gee, I wonder what he will decide to do...). The effects of this bill will be overwhelming... overhwhelmingly bad. The purpose is to give relief to over 400,000 struggling homeowners who cannot make their mortgage payments. And although the bill may provide temporary relief to the housing market, eventually the effects of these inflationary policies will be felt to a very large degree... by EVERYONE.
As the Federal Reserve and Congress continue to believe that printing more money is the solution to this problem, the US Dollar continues to plummet in foreign markets (http://quotes.ino.com/chart/?s=NYBOT_DX&v=d12) and the national debt continues to skyrocket (http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/). It is amazing to me how clearly and transparently this economic problem is being fueled, and yet only one man stands up against it. This blog is not supposed to be a fan club site, but if it wasn't for Ron Paul, I might seriously lose my cool. And I don't mean lose my cool as in throwing a little temper tantrum... I mean lose my cool as in unleashing 'Boston Massacre'-style or 'LA Riot'-style, OK? Don't fuck with me...
The next four years of US presidency are going to suck, and I think most of us have figured that out by now. While Libertarian and Ron Paul-ian efforts will most likely keep John McCan't from getting into the White House, something that would definitely be better for this country than an Obama presidency, let us not forget what got us all riled up in the first place. If it wasn't for the inflationary policies of our government, these 'helpless' homeowners would not be in this situation in the first place, OK? We can't solve a problem with something that started the problem to begin with!!! Common fucking sense...
The state of the union is going to get worse before it gets better. Can you manage to withstand the brutal effects of what is to come? As 'The Dark Knight' says, the darkest part of the night is just before dawn!
Viva la r3VOLution!
